Our company
Our company is located in the city of Frauenfeld in the north-east of Switzerland, only 40 km from Zurich International Airport. From the development to the assembly, up to the final assembly of the machine, is carried out in our company. Including the electrical and PLC integration, which we carry out in our workshop.
Transport by truck or container is naturally part of our service.

1940
the company Blatter AG was founded by Ernest Blatter. The first production facility was in Winterthur
1970
the company was taken over by former employees and renamed Farros Blatter AG.
The company has become the world's leading manufacturer and supplier of specialised grinding machines for many different products, including rollers for the paper industry and welding preparation equipment for pressure vessels.
1997
Farros Blatter AG was taken over by the Finnish-Swedish group METSO.
The focus of interest was placed on the products and patents in the paper sector.
2004
Marc Hönes and Jürg Widmer buy the business of vessel grinding machines and found the new company FARROS Grinding Systems GmbH in Matzingen.
